Text hyperlink problem

I am trying Vodahost and prior to posting some sample pages I find the following problem. I set up a text hyperlink following the instructions. I set up a style 1 which is bold, white on a blue background and selected that style. It all looks fine prior to preview, but in preview mode the colour changes to mauve undelined. What am I doing wrong?

Prior to preview the link will be blue as a default. You cannot change that and can only see the style appearance in preview or publish mode. (or the style box)
Select text for hyperlinking
Format/Hyperlink Style Sheet
Add/style Name/Click on the link to change formatting
Set the Preferences
OK
The link will still be blue on the BV web builder page.
Preview
If you are viewing in FireFox the are occassionally problems with the colors
Why?//?? I don't know...

i have created text on my index page, i want to make a link out of it but the hyperlink button in the tool bar is greyed out, have i missed something?

Hi James

Did you highlight the text? When the text is highlighted the hyperlink button should be active, not grayed. Try that.

thanks G i had it selected but not highlighted.
