  • adding a background to my website

    Hi,
I have read a few of the other threads but still cannot work out how to add an image as a background to my website:

    www.golfmindplay.com

I want to make the background grass - I have the image but can't work out how to do it. I need pretty basic stgep by step instructions - please thank you!
    Cheers
    Tracy

    Hi Tracy,

Open BlueVoda and open a new page.

Right click on any part of the page and select properties.

When the window opens, select Background > Browse.
Goto the folder where you kept the grass pic. and select the file.

Select OK and you have your background.

Make sure a copy of the Grass pic is always in your C\MyDocuments\BlueVoda
file and not moved at any time. If you move the file somewhere else, the next time you open the same page in BV, the background will go missing.

Re: adding a background to my website

        Hi Tracy,

Iam unable to view your grass background in both IE8 and Firefox.

It is not loading and IE8 is taking a very long time to load it onto the webpage!

I am assuming the pic you loaded is too large and pixel heavy, which is why it is not loading immediately.

Reopen the photo in a photo editor and resave as jpg.

Then goto the VH download page and download this pic reducer software.

Install it on your pc. Open the software and select you grass pic, then select "Joint Photographic Expert Group".

A window with a slider will open. Slide the slider to 30% or 25% and save the grass pic.

Open BV and reload the grass pic as your BG and then republish.

We will see what happens then.
