    Hi,

A couple of issues I'd like assistance with please.

    1. I can't seem to alter my page widths despite entering different settings
in page properties. I am saving and publishing the page with the new
    settings but no changes occur.

Also, is there a way to set an attribute that would make my page size
'fluid' so that it's rendered in it's maximum size possible, depending on
    the viewer's screen size?

    2. How can I make a customer tick a mandatory check box and if they
press Submit without ticking how can I return an error page?

    See www.niceplacelettings.co.uk/tenantsregister.php (page bottom)

    3. When I create a new page I am setting the navigation bar properties to
    'blank'. Is this correct?
If so, how can I make the resulting new window be the same size as
all the other web pages I have?

    Thanks,

Your page is set to 900 pxls wide, whilst it actually is 804 (i measured it)

So it will not center. Set width to to 804. Also, the entire content should ne moved (if it is not already) to touch the left side of the screen in BV.

No, BV is WYSIWYG meaning that the page is displayed as designed.

    See www.niceplacelettings.co.uk/tenantsregister.php (page bottom)
This requires some specific Javascript. There are some on the net.

No, the target should be set either to _self or be left blank. Otherwise the new page will open each time in a new window, and this results very annoying for most visitors (they end up having many pages of your site in different windows).
