  • important lessons I've learned; what are yours?

    Lessons I've learned:

    • from my mother I learned "life comes in stages"
    • from my father I learned "a lucky man surrounds himself with a wall of preparation"
    • from my grandfather I learned "life should be savoured"
    • from my grandmother I learned "if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all"
    • from my great-grand mother I learned “dear, just close your eyes dear and think of England”
    • finally from great-grand father I learned "you can do just about anything you want, just don’t do it out on the street and scare the horses"
    • and finally from my god-mother "money is not important, but.. the lack of money is... very important."

    ....from my father:
"You can do or have ANYTHING you want. You just have to want it badly enough!"
Never measure the height of the mountain you're climbing. At the summit, look back and see how small it really is!

Oh thanks for all your great contributions, and, another I use to remind myself is “the only pure constant is change.”

And yes I am backing-up (thanks for the reminder) and "try try again" I keep at it until I accomplish it and then... keep going.

The higher up you are on the ladder (what ever ladder it is) only really allows you to see further on the horizon. (as long as your head is not in the clouds that is, LLOL! )
