Tool Bar Link button not working

I have created my website and published. All is working well.

Now I want to add another page in which I will include a link list to other sites.

I have added graphics and text and now I want to link to a URL. The Link button in the tool bar is not working. I have already tried to reset and ensure that all these tools are working but even though I highlight the Link option, the button does not appear and does not work.

this could be an dumb question but, if you select an image, or highlight a text, the link option should ungrey. In a text, you have to be inside the box and before the link ungreys. have you selected an item?

It would be nice if you had a link to your site so we can see what you are talking about... sometimes the visual and the source code help better understand your problem.
