  • Trouble linking Amazon.com affiliate links

    My domain name is www.itchyflight.com.

Alright, I tried customer support but they just sent me a video that I've already seen, so I guess I'll try this. I recently signed up for Amazon.com's affiliate program, and I would like to add text links to my page with the code they provide me. HOWEVER, I can't seem to make it work. I can use the insert HTML tool, but that's too cumbersome to size, resize, and drag and drop over the text exactly where I want it. I would like to just add the text link like any other text link, but the code isn't the same as a regular webpage link... So if there's anybody out there who can help me figure out how to insert Amazon.com's affiliate program text link code as a text link and not as an HTML insert, I would greatly appreciate it. As an aside, what are all those other link types like gopher and ftp? I know http:// is for linking to regular webpages and mailto: is for linking to email addresses, but what are the others for? Thanks a million.

Can you post one of your Amazon text links for us to have a look. But i don't think there will be an easy way to do this so all lines up on the page using BV.

I can only think of right clicking on a text box & copying the html code, then placing it in a html box on the front of your BV page & then inserting your Amazon code into the text. Bit like this one...........

        <font style="font-size:13px" color="#000000" face="Arial">This is the start of the text box .<br><a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/046501948X?ie=UTF8&tag=itchyflcom-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeA S IN=046501948X">Intellectuals and Society</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=itchyflcom-20&l=as2&o=1&a=046501948X" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />
<br> This is the end of the text box.</font>

Would be nice if we could just insert code like this in a text box.
        Regards Chris.
