Needing some help with my index page....please

Hi and thanks for the time...
I am needing help with two things, so far, on a site I am creating.
I am an artist, showcasing my photography.
On my opening page....
I want my main large image to to fade out to a slide show of other images....maybe 10 or so....
Also....want some kind of soundtrack playing in background during rollover...
Any advice would be helpfull
Totally out of my element building sites...so speak caveman....

It can be done, but i would personally avoid to many images & sound tracks on the opening/index page so every one can at least get onto your sites home page nice & quickly.
