Pages replaced with strange characters

Recently I found that all the pages on my site had been replaced with pages of strange characters.
I managed to re-publish most of my pages but one of the pages I can`t replace as I can`t find the original page on my PC.

I`ve left it as it is so people on the forum might be able to see it and perhaps suggest what`s happened.

Forum Rules clearly prohibit the posting of suspected compromises to website via hacks or virus *********, which should instead be directed to Support immediately for evaluation and resolution.

If you cannot "find" previously saved and published pages on your computer, there is nothing anyone can do for you.
You may wish to be sure your system is not compromised also by running anti-virus software including malwarebytes.com
