Can head of the page be much wider then the rest of the page and still show the page in the center in all screen resolutions? Check i.e. http://www.qwinki.com Can the conent be in the center of the page regardless of head width?

No. You will have to design your page with the 'center' distinctly with the desired "indentation" (equally offset from the left and right page margins).
