About LinkBacksI have about 1200 photos and I'm wanting to keep the best 500, so that I may use them on other projects, while deleting others or better putting them on a cd. Can I delete photos that are part of my website from my computer files without affecting my images on the site, or them being deleted from my public_html?

Nooo, if you do BV will not know where to find the images. Same thing will happen if you change folders or folder location.
If its space you need, put the photos you are not using on a CD instead.
