Thread: I don't know the best way to do this so please help!

I am trying to build a membership website which will be a training and coaching platform for insurance agents and realtors. There will be a lot of free content available and downloadable (including word documents, PDF files, video and audio mp3 files), but only to those who are registered.

Then, if they decide to pay the monthly membership fee, they have access to much more content.

I would like to have autoresponders to communicate with the database. I would also like everything to be catagorized, for example: Technology section: Creating a Web Presence, Maximizing Opportunities Through E-mail...... and under each catagory, there will be subcatagories.

It seems easy in my head, but I don't even know where to begin. I don't know if I should use something like Joomla, or if it would be a customized site?

Any suggestions?
