Default Deleting Redundant Files in the (CP) File Manager

how do i, how can i, can i delete extra, redundant, unnessecary files in the control planel file manager and/or ftp manager?

    do i need to?

everytime i publish a page, new or exsists do the image files overwrite or just add another?

if i republish a page a gazillion times over the years will i need to begin to worry about file space due to the above issue?

    thanks, hope imake sense

If you re-publish a page with the same name - it overwrites the page before it - so does not leave redundant files.

You only need to delete pages that you are no longer using - like when you switched from html to php - which I believe you already did. Or if change a page name - which I don't recommend getting rid of pages - just rewrite them to give your website more added quality content.

thanks, yes i deleted the html pages in the file manager. i was wondering about images also.

if i had image X on the index page and upload a new image Y in it's place is X still in the folder taking up space?

    Yes,
your original image would remain in your website folder until removed.
