Thread: Software Question

Hey Folks:

I'm having a problem with the software itself. When I publish my index page one time it does it okay but when I attempt to republish it after making a correction. It'll start to upload then it'll freeze I would press contrlol - Alt - Delete and it'll say not responding. So I'll click "end program" and I'll get the box that asks me to submit report to Micorsoft. I would reopen BV and publish the index page but when I try a second time I get the same problem. I noticed that it kind of started after I uploaded an mp3 music tune. Should I just redownload the software?

I get this quite often, its just a matter of waiting until it times out, or until I reset my connection.
You could of course try downloading a fresh copy, but I dont think that will solve the (network) problem.

You're right. I just redownloaded it and it's still freezing. Yoou mentioned resetting your connection. What exactly do you mean?

If you haven't yet - try rebooting your computer - often this alone will solve this type of issue. (And will reset the connection - which is disconnecting and reconnecting with your server).

The mp3 file may be very large causing this to time out.....

Also you should perhaps read the fine print with Voda about the use of Mp3's on your website ... there are limitations....
