    Question Help with Nav Bar

Here is my issue.. I have switch the nav bar link so many times to try different ways for it to actually show when clicked on. I have a webpage at www.crittersnacker.com when you click on something in the nav bar to the left it shows up as a page that can not be dispayed. I have tried to put the target as an example of www.crittersnackem.com/Cattreats Cattreats is the name of one of the pages that will not show. Now all pages have been published seperatly and the link is spelled correctly, I am just going insane right now. Anyone have any idea's on what I actually did wrong? I have searched the tutorials and I just can not find anything that covers this issue.

    Many thanks in advance...

Hi Luella, I am by far no expert and someone else will be able to help you out more than I can BUT....
This is your Cattreats link http://www.crittersnacker.com/critte....com/Cattreats
I would suggest taking out the second 'crittersnacker.com' and this should work for you.

That first link was from clicking on your nav bar for Cattreats. This is the link you supplied in your post.
Notice you have crittersnackem as your domain name and it should be crittersnacker.com

    Hi Luella,

I think its probably your links, on cat treats you have your URL written in twice...they should look like this
    http://www.crittersnacker.com/index

    http://www.crittersnacker.com/cattreats.html
    http://www.crittersnacker.com/dogtreats/.html

and so on ...check for spelling mistakes, even a dot in the wrong place will stop it showing...hope that helps

Just noticed to that on dog treats you have a capitol D...all letters should be lowercase ..no capitols.

Had my fair share of link issues. It was always a problem with spelling, spaces and the prpoer extention - i.e. .html, .doc, etc.

    Best of luck

My biggest problem was commas and dots, They are next to eachother on the keyboard and if your eyes are not the *****est they pass for each other, I'm sure if you take your time put on some reading glasses. and remember this must be exact. you'll have it all working shortly,

    crittersnackem:

Ok your pages link now and wouldn't it be nice if your mail worked. I attempted to use both your email contact and your affiliate regestration but neither worked and my mail was returned undeliverable.

Back to the salt mines with you......no celebration yet

I think the best thing to remember through out the whole construction of a website is keep it simple. Don't name and save your pages with long confusing names. If you have a About Us page then simple name it "about" and save it "about". It will make things less confusing when its time to publish.

Actually - the best names for pages are names that not only relate to the page but use your keywords. So simple yes, but not too simple that you hurt yourself. Pages like about us and contact are easy to be one words - but most pages should use your best keyword or keyword phrase for the page.

It's not about keeping things simple for yourself, but about making things the best for your visitors/customers/users.

Luckily we have programs like BV that help to make building our websites so much simpler - but some shortcuts shouldn't be taken.

And earlier someone showed a home page written with /index after it - that isn't needed. Your home page should be written as your url:
    www.mywebsite.com for an example.
