Question Buttons and text appear in different places. Why?

Hi... Some friends report that.. a few buttons and/or text appear to be in the wrong place when my site is viewed on different screens, browsers.... How do I fix this? Is there a way to insure my site is consistant and all items stay in their right place? Thanks.. Doug

I suspect you may be using non web friendly fonts. If this is the case only people with the special fonts installed on their pc's will be able to view them correctly - others will see substitution fonts and this will make your pages look messy and unaligned.

You are NOT using web friendly fonts - the problem is as Amanda stated above. Using fonts that are in the web builder does not mean they are all web friendly. I see that you are using Lucida Bright - not a web friendly font - for the majority of the text - and you chose a completely different font (really not recommended) for the larger letter - where you used Castellar.

If you don't want the problem you are experiencing - you need to use fonts that will be standard on all computers - go back and look at the link Amanda gave you.

I might be wrong here .... but aren't all the fonts that are accessible to you in the blue voda webbuilder all of your own fonts on your computer??
Am I right or wrong in thinking that?? tks

yes you are correct unless the person may have added more fonts. to do so you just go in start/my computer C:\WINDOWS\Fonts or were ever else windows installed like maybe D:\WINDOWS\Fonts if your like me and work with photo shop you have more fonts. To get other fonts dafont.com is my suggestion but make sure you only use these fonts on pictures otherwise they won't show up.

Every font I add to my computer, seems to be accessible to me to use in blue voda ...

yes, reason they do not show up is, if the person viewing does not have that font, the font reverts to the computers default font .... however, if you have the font, all appears normal
