Spend a few hours on the internet, viewing sites relative to yours, have a look, gain some tips, some creativity and come back and apply it to your pages, read "The worst websites" read "The Best websites" ... browse, think, plan ... and create your own masterpiece!!

You both have done a wonderful job, and what an interesting site. You have a few untitled pages, you might want to consider having your nav bar at the top of all the pages, or in the same spot on all pages. I don't even mind the fact that the some of the tours open in a new browser window, makes it real easy to go from tour to tour looking.

I think you have done excellent and you have a very detailed site, wonderful photographs, I didn't read alot of the content but I am certain that is A+ too ...

Great job! In fact, I love your site!

Onther major thing that I need to know is, How do I stop people from sending me spam through my inquiry form? we never had this problem untill we left our last webhosting and I think that they have something to do with it. Now we get all these spam emails basically through our form. What can I do?

Your site is very nice... clean and easy to read. You should be proud of the job that you both have done.

Regarding the spam emails... it is not the form that is allowing the spam. You have your contact emails as clickable links which allow you to receive email directly. This is what is allowing all the spam.

    Hi again

I have found the use of the "email riddler" on line tool from dynamic drive, firstly provided to me by Navel, to be very useful. It will encrypt your email shielding your from spammers. You can read all about it and find it by clicking here (You insert the code in a html box, found under tools, advanced in your blue voda site builder). This eliminated virtually all spam for me.

Hope this helps ... there are further settings in your horde mail (if that is what you are using) as well.

    Hope this helps.

And one more thing I forgot to mention, that I should have mentioned much earlier.

Why not put your fabulous website up for review, under Customer Reviews so everyone can comment and see if they can provide further input for you ... They'll all love to see it too!!

lol ...... Well if your wisdom teeth are just coming out now, (you must be drinking scotch by now, lol) then you are certainly young enough to endure any more pain, and I don't think you will ... lol ....... but whenever you are ready, just wanted to be certain you were aware of the opportunity to post your site. And not to forget, search engines are always crawling around here, so more posts with your site as a link, only the better for you ... right!!

I tried your sugestion LadyEye but it won't help. Whoever is sending these messages is not email crawling. I don't know how they do it but they use the form that we generated for tour requests to send links to their website. I don't think that they spend the time typing all the information out because we get one email from everyform on our entire site. I was thinking about adding one of those little boxes that makes you type in the letter that you see in the box inorder for the request to be sent. could that be a solution?

ummm ... I see what you are saying ...

You perhaps should have a look at the ABVFP from Navel or the form that Daviddalunica has. Both I believe would take care of this problem.

Perhaps, that is the form that you should be using instead. Both of these members I refer to are experts in this field and will definitely help you further.

No wonder you are pulling your teeth out, lol ...

*****, I wuld be happy to provide you with a secure Contact form as mentioned by Ladyeye.

Further to my first post in this thread, I dont believe that you have too much to learn. The look and feel of your site is ideal and just needs a few tweeks here and there.
If you could think about your page headers for a moment.....Most of your headers are different and this will not help you in establishing your brand or type of service.
I like most of your layout, just try for a little continuety......

I have visited Scotland for 3 years running, and viewing your site makes me feel like going again.......so well done.

BTW: Forget your wisdom teeth, your site is ready for all your friends here at Vodaland..........................

Red face Re: I need to learn everything about BV

I have another issue now.... I have been playing around with Rank traker and noticed that we are not ranked at all with google yet we are in top 10 for most our keywords on the other search engines? The olything that I can think of is that one of our competitors reported us as spammers. How do I check to see if thats the case? Thanks again for all your help!

we have worked on everything in the past 3 months to get where we are... we were not even worthy of ranking about 6 months ago... we have made our site our life (wich actually is) and decided to follow the rules and do everything that all the SE say is right. and signed up at different places like Ineedhits, enterURL, G-boost, Hitslink, ExactSeek and we also use google adwords, Adsonar, and yahoo search marketing. so we have been bussy....
This is wat keeps the roof over our head and we have to take care of it right?

    Hi Scot,

You asked about google and why your not up there for your keywords but are in yahoo and msn.

This information is just what I've heard.
Google works from the basis of a social community.
Basically meaning lots of one way links using your targeted keywords as the link. For example at the bottom of this post you will notice the words soy candles. This word links to my homepage creating a one way link but thats just one part of it. I've also heard header tags are good to use. I also beleive having links in your text to other pages is important. One thing I beleive really helps is having lots and lots of pages. Like 200 pages or so.

With that said thats just what I have heard. If you are in the top ten for both yahoo and msn (for your targeted keywords)I don't think I would be changing a thing to your pages.

I would just focus on getting those one way links from lots and lots of sites that are relative to your site. Reciprocal links are good too.
Never Let a Kind word go Un said!

    Soy Candles

Lightbulb Re: I need to learn everything about BV

Sorry, but you have mixed up some facts with supposition there, Garren!

Google is not a "social community" and works from an algorithmic methodology to present results of cached content as "results" to specific "Searches" entered by clients. That is why they are evolving from the tradtional "Content is King" model of the last 15 years, although Content (more specifically, Perfect Page Construct and Relevancy) is still foundational, to the more accurate "Construct" premise, and the introduction of the Perfect Page is the natural place to start...... >> Plan ahead, doing everything right the first time, as previously cached pages remain a very long time, despite the belief that they are "overwritten" as in BV!!! LOL Anticipate the next level of scrutiny...

Using your Key Words as "links" is not a sound strategy, as all SE's favor hard content above all other elements, and then assign value in accordance to relevancy (there it is again!). Links, per se, are contributary if they are demonstrably interior navigational links to hard-link Content, and then must be used sparingly. (Read in here: Interior linking can be a positive, but Key Word links are more detrimental than leaving them alone to provide the hard-construct of your overall relevancy: keeping key content to under 1000 characters on your Main/index page is best, and some self-proclaimed experts swear that no more than 300 is preferred).

Having lots of pages means nothing, and can actually be detrimental to proper caching and ranking. Forget about the number of pages....think along the lines of very carefully composed "paragraphs" and each being so precisely linked and content-constrained that their "relevancy" rises as the strong "theme" it was meant to be. If you try to keep on the paragraph model, you will generally have a more tightly composed, briefer, and more precise Content as a result......rather like editing an entire page to 3/4 or 1/2 of a "typical typed" page.
*Again, this is an area of debate for "gurus" as sites will not be completely spidered (cached) unless instructed and those instructions are simply navigable by the bots via the use of a site mapping device/script, and the opposite perspective of offering visitors more precise navigation at the expense of a large Menu has not been resolved either. Truly, it needs always be more of an agreed emphasis on BALANCE, and then within the Perfect Page Construct!

Reciprocol Links......Hmmmm.... Well, yes they can be good, for certain types of websites. Unfortunately, they will always be seen by the bots as "one-way" exiting links, and will not add to any possible elevation of Relevancy, rank, or cache depth of your site. However, if they are links on another's site linking to yours, and that site is of similar type and contrent derivative, then you will gain some rank value. *That is why requests are made selectively for reciprocol link placements, as they benefit each nearly equally, and should be regularly reviewed to eliminate those with less than desirable traffic-to-rank value contributions (lose the links to sites that languish, and get another to replace it from a site on par or slightly above your own).
If you have a perponderance of construct on Interior linking, and more than just a few Reciprocol links, then you are floating a boat with too many holes in it!

Pay Particular Attention to the Core Foundations:
    1. Perfect Page Construct (everything from minimal odd shaped objects, to optimal image files, to perfect alignment, and hard-content relevancy, etc.)
    2. SEO prepared....(we can only do so much using BV, so every detail cannot be ignored whatsoever)
    3. Site logistical development (content composition, site mapping tools, threaded links, etc.)
    4. Overall Relevancy (not just Content and Key Words, but also in the back-end: of carts, forums, and even HTML sites --- too much sloppy coding can kill a beautifully designed and "optimized" site!)

And, I must include the fact that all of the above is simply "in my opinion" even though it is based on my experience......

Hello from Scotland. I just had a chat with a web page designer and found out that spammers use your form page to send out spam mail with your address on it. Is this true? how can I protect myself from it? I heard something about a PHP? and some different things that you would need to add to your forms page. Can anyone explain it to me in common everyday talk? LOL Thank you guys
