| Please help a technophobe newbie. I am in the process of writing the pages for my own website. I want to have a facility where my customers can download an item of software from my site for a trial period only. After the trial they are to be denied access to the software. Is this possible? Can a customer somehow copy the software and continue to use it after the trial? If possible how do I do it. Thanks wilko |

Have you designed the software yet? What you are asking requires the skills of an experienced software developer.

Setting expiring date in the software can be done in two ways: 1. By implementing a limit in the software itself. This usually makes use of hidden parameters in the registry files. 2. If your software is in php, you can use one of the encryption softwares on the market, that can create an encrypted version of your software and also implement a trial time limit.
