Thread: BV’s Default browser list query?

Hi, I have got firefox, IE, & Opera set up in my browser list for previewing. On my computer in my browser settings, I have f/fox as my default browser. Problem is that BV always gets IE as the default browser. Am a missing something or is there a way to force BV to open in fire fox just by hitting the preview button?

Hi David. You use to be able to tick a box in the old BV browser options area. But since the new one arrived, that part has gone.

File, Preview in Browser, Default browser or Edit Browser List

Ah! Thanks anyway guys, I think there is something odd with my browser’s set up on my machine some ware along the line. All is set correctly, but I can only get a browser I want by selecting from the drop down list. If I just hit the preview, IE will come up every time.
Nothing major & i am not going to loose any more hair over it. Lol Just thought I was missing something.

Chris, this is correct.
if you simply hit the Preview button, the preview will take place in the default browser (which is set to IE). You need to select another browser from the dropdown to preview in it.

Ah! I thought you could set the default browser to? Let’s say fire fox. & if needed, you could select IE from the drop down list. Shame! As you could set F/F as default with the old one.

The default is NOT set in BV, but in your CP (on your computer).

Yep! That what I thought.
Mine is set to f/f as the browser default & nearly all browser related items opens in this except BV. That’s why I think I may have some sort of conflict in the browser department on my machine.
