    Default naming a file

The oddest thing has been happening to me when I have been naming new files lately. They won't work unless I put a -1 at the end. Then it works great. I wonder why. Has this happended to any of you?

Either the file you are naming was already have a name before, like Joecacia, this is a file name and when you wanted to name another file the same name, you will have to add 1 because it already exist.

Just an opinion, maybe it is the cause?

I wish it were that simple. That's what makes this so strange. There is no conflict with file names. Any other ideas?
