    Default renaming image files

    Hi,
I have introduced the lightbox facility into my site, see http://www.jamesbartondesign.com/index but the file names that come up with the enlarged images, whilst good enough to identify the image files whilst sitting in my resources folders are not appropriate when seen on my site. When I went to rename them a warning came up, I cannot remember the wording, that asked me did I really want to do this as it might damage or make the file inaccessible in some way. What, if any, is the correct proceedure I should use.
    Thanks in advance.
    James.

Rename all of the images on your pc. Then, in your gallery, browse each picture again (ending up with a gallery full of correctly named images). Republish your page.

Make sure that you give them names that will be useful to the search engines and help bring traffic to your site.

    Hi Amanda,
That's OK is it. I just remember the trouble I had with dreamweaver when I renamed a file and my links all went haywire and it was the devil's own job to correct it all.
    Regards,
    James.
