Thread: Website search box like Google

Hey there...looking for Bethers!

Or anyone who knows what the website search link box is that she referred to a time ago. Can't find it anywhere.

It was like a Google box that had "search this site, or search the web".

I thought she called it FileFind or something akin to that. I want it to be able to track things down in my own website.

Anybody know about this thing? More specifically, how to get it?

I use www.freefind.com - they do a great job on my sites - I'm thinking of upgrading to their paid version!

Thanks, I picked up the correct name from one of your sites. Then I discovered when I joined that they next spidered ALL my pages! OOoops! Didn't want all that to be searchable!

All is well tho. I just need to get them to do my Sitemap pages only, and I won't have theives running off with things in the night! So far, I haven't put up their HTML search box on my Home page. So, I'm OK in that department. (aren't I?)

Actually, any pages you don't want them to spider, you should have so that NO ONE - including se's can spider them - otherwise they will be found in searches on the internet and shown in results.
