    Red face Previewing site

    Hi all;
    I have a big problem, I can't seem to preview my pages as I go along. Also on the bottom of the page where it says, templates, video tutorials, customer support, and control panel, these buttoms do not work. Am I missing something or what? I am going nuts. Could someone please help?

    I just got a new domain name from godaddy, and added it on tovodahost.
    My soho site is www.serenityindooroutdoorfountains.com
    My new domain name is www.grumpyscountrystore.com
    I don't know if this will help or not. Thank you!

    Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    I hope I posted in the right place.

    Chuck

    Hi, sounds like it may help to re-download BV again & see if this solve the problem.

    Be sure as well to edit your browser list under FILE PREVIEW - if you do not have a default browser set - you will be unable to preview ...

    Chuck,

    Add BV to your firewalls permitted software for one. Mine always prepopulated and I didnt have to add anything. If you did have to add something: IE 6, IE 7, Firefox, Opera, etc etc.

    It sounds to me as if your computer isnt allowing bv to access the internet. So try the above.

    To edit your browser preview list in blue voda ... do the following

    Go to file, preview, and take the submenu that will also appear from the words "Preview in Browser" and choose Edit Browser List .. here you can add all browsers that are on your computer - I believe BV is set as Internet Explorer, but you can check, and add if it is not there, and if you have and are using Mozilla Firefox, you can add this as well and any other browser that you have on your computer and may use ...

    It is always good as well to preview your page in at least the two major browsers, IE & FF - they appear slightly different in both of these browsers and tweaking your pages and making minor adjustments is always encouraged so that your pages appear as they should in the most popular browsers.

    Smile Re: Previewing site

    Hi;
    I have been trying to get my bv to work right, and I finally did it. I can now preview my site.
    I have a simple question, I can do a simple <h1> tag, my question is how do you add font size and color. I never did that before, I need step by step help.

    Any and all help is greatly apprecated.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Chuck..

    It would go something like this:

    <h1><font size="3" color="#FF0000">My H1 Headline</font></h1>
    The other forum is full of this stuff! Look in the html room or for the h1 threads.

    In bv you most likely need this in an html box.. btw instead of just a text box. The above color makes it red. You can also just type in color="red" or color="purple" but you cant control the exact shade, and it will be rendered by default colors.

    Hello Chuck;
    I don't see the need for H1 tags on BV as you can edit the text box to the size and color you want and you can put that text anywhere on your page. There is a good video tutorial which speaks about adding text to your pages.
    Hope I have helped.

    Mrmagoo,

    Depending on what you do for SEO, H1 tags can be very important. Most of the time Bolded Headings are also accepted but the use of h1 thru h6 tags help clarify what your page is more specifically relevant to, when used properly and do give added weight to just bolded text or words.
