I can create auto responder messages from the cpanel.

How do I attach the html code into my webpage at blue vode that has customer key in name and email addy? Where can I find the tutorial?

I'm adding a free report on my page and I would like for the autoresponder to send out an email with a link to the report. From what i understand, that's exactly what the autoresponder in my cpanel will do. Am I correct in my assumptions?

Yes, you can use an autoresponder to acheive this.

Will the autoresponder in my cpanel allow me to do a double optin. Meaning once a person adds his/her name and email to receive my report, will they - FIRST - receive a confirmation email and - SECOND - once they do confirm it, will the autoresponder then email the link with my report.

This depends on how you setup the form and the confirmation mail: The form submits to you. This, triggers the autoresponder, which sends the user a confirmation email, with a email link for confirmation. This email must be different from the one that you use for the form submission. They reply back to this confirmation email, and this will trigger the second autoresponder, which will actually send them the message with the link. To acheive this, you need to use two different email addresses, one for the form, that will trigger the first autoresponder, and one for the confirmation email, that will then trigger the second autoresponder.

When you setup an autoresponder, you type the message that will be sent. So, simply include the link to the PDF file in that message.

OK. is this correct? I type in this as the message in my autoresponder.

If it is a PDF file that you need them to be able to download, you have to upload this file to your site and include in your autoresponder a link like:

"Please visit http://www.toothgen.com/filename.pdf to download our file"

that means i hv to go to "public_html" directory to upload my file first. then open new page in my website or place the link in my thank you page?

Use BlueFTP and upload the pdf document to your website.

Then, simply include the link (the url) to your pdf document...like the example navaldesign suggested:

"Please visit http://www.toothgen.com/filename.pdf to download our file"

Hi, my website http://www.mytoothcaretips.com is finally up.

But how come, the forms at Order Page does not seem to work?

a) When I click Submit Now - error msg appear
b) Did a test by filling up the name & email addy, but no autoresponder msg appear.

You have set your form action to be "action.php" . Did you actually create and published a "action.php" page ? I Can't seem to find it in your site.

I created and save My Order Page (as shown in website) as action.php file. I also saved the Thank You and Thank You download as action.php. How come still can't work? Pls help

I have NOT found a "action.php" page in your site.

The thank you page, is the one that includes the php script that you have copied / pasted from the tutorilal. Open this page in BV and save it as "action". Set it's properties so that it gets published with .php extension. Publish and test your form.

One more question,

When I test the order page, I get a respond from my autoresponder. I'm suppose to have 2 msg.

1st msg is to thank them for subscribing to the newsletter. That works fine.

2nd msg is to download the pdf file that i've uploaded fm cpanel. That did not work. Instead of sending email to subcriber, i rec an email in my mail box.

I used 2 different email addy for 1st msg and 2nd msg.

Pls help

In the first message, the one that works ok, you need to include a link to your second email address, and explain them that in order to confirms their email address and receive the PDF they need to reply to this second email address.

However, this is NOT how it is usually done, i only showed you that it can be done, but the simplest thing would be to included the link to the PDF in the first email. If their email address is real, they recieve the link, if their email address is not real, they simply don't recieve it.

I took yr advise and placed the link to the first email addy. I've also included the flwg msg in my cpanel.

How come only http://www.mytoothcaretips.com/knockout/tooth was highlighted.

I wanted the entire text to be highlighted. http://www.mytoothcaretips.com/knockout/tooth kit brochure - laypeople(27jun2007) jpeg format.pdf. What did I do wrong?

The problem is that you have whitespaces (blanks) in your file name.

Do the following:

1. rename your PDF directly on the server, using BlueFTP or File Manager. Make it "tooth_kit_brochure.pdf" with underscores (no blank spaces).

2. Change the link in your autoresponder accordingly: http://www.mytoothcaretips.com/knockout/tooth_kit_brochure.pdf

Hi followed yr instructions. Auto responder works fine. Email sent out well however when click on the http://www.mytoothcaretips.com/knock...t_brochure.pdf error msg Webpage cannot be found.

Also, when I made changes to my Order Page, when I publish, the changes does not seem to happen. Why?

Did you actually upload the file (or renamed it) with this name ? if the link doesn't work, you have probably a typo in your file name or the folder is not correct.

Couls also be a permissions issue

Order page: probably your browser cacheing. Make sure you have published in the correct (public_html) folder.

Hi. thanks everything works fine except my ordering page.

When I publish it, the page does not show the canges that I made. It still show the old page.

I've redone the page and name it ordering. I selected file extention as "PHP" under page properties. Pls help.

Now my ordering page seems to be totally gone. I get Web Page cannot be found error message. Pls help
