Thread: Converting images to make the site load faster

Hello!

My site was at first a little slow - I had many pictures and backgrounds. Now all pictures are converted to jpeg. I did also convert backgrounds into jpeg. After I did publish the site and when I now look in the browser at the properties for each element on my site, some of the element are GIFs..? Why? In the publishing process will some of the element be converted to GIF?
