Thread: How to add soho to BV? Please help

Hi everybody, I'm new here and have been trying my luck with Bluevoda.
I made it so far as to creating some nice website pages, but I was wondering if I can use soho to help me put my products, shopping cart & payments on these pages at a later state?
I will get fully signed up etc. but could somebody tell me if this is possible and how it is possible?

I can't believe how many questions are answered there and I am still completely confused about it all. (maybe because I'm Dutch??lol)
Couldn't somebody tell me in a "baby" talk way how I can intergrate soho in my bluevoda pages.
I spend day's & day's creating them but now I'm at a loss??

I've read just about all there is to read about the template uploading subject too, so that I can use (upload) my pages to soho and start adding the products and prices ect.
But,.........it doesn't tell me if I can?? (or I just dont understand.....again)
Is it just the background (template) that we can upload? or, can it upload the menubars and links ect. too?????
I know this program should be easy to understand and maybe I'm looking to deep into these subjects, but I just don't get it?!?!?!?!??????

Please, Please help me. (or should I just give up?)

You cant INTEGRATE the two. They are two different software platforms. You have to LINK your bv pages to the soho shopping cart, but you cant make them MERGE or blend together. One part is in one folder and the other part is in another. Think of them as rooms in your house. You cant make the kitchen work in the bedroom, you have to physically move between the two. You cant make that extra room in the basement, give you added space in the upstairs living room and you cant carpet them all with one piece of carpet.

I recommend that you just customize a soho template or have one done for you for the look you want and just run the soho. Much simpler, much less headache and its all in one place.

LOL.. Thanks Tom.. it just sorta happened, just cuz i used it, i ended up exploring most of it and what it will or wont do, along with several other builders.

I received my welcome email this morning and as I prommised I started to look around some more and downloaded soho.
But,........ sorry to say, I'm not impressed.
I finally had downloaded soho, went back to all the tutorials to make sure I got the bigger picture, and then..... ...... ...... .......
Excactly, it was a long waiting game for soho to even load something, like the main page of it.
I desided to restart the comp to see if that would help.
But after that too, you guessed it, waiting and some more waiting. :o(

So, soho, not for me by the looks of things.
But, not worried I thought, lets see what I can create with paypal then?!
Went over to their site to read some more for a chance - lol - and figured that that is an easy option, right?
Wrong!! filled in all the info, copy and paste into html thingy on website builder, and now lets try,....... didn't work!
Came up with the message; cannot accept payments from un-encrypted buttons!
What?!?!?!?! but I just got it of of your site where it says they are encrypted and those are the only one's to use??!?!?!?!?!

I'm confused....-agian-..........

Could it be because I tried from a preview (form BV) ?
Anyway,I contacted Paypal with the same info and I hope to hear back from them, but if any of you smarties out there can tell me I'd be a very happy, confused, headacke having girl, or just call me 'nuts' !!hahahihiwhatwherewhomenoyes.....

Well, DUH, dubble DUH!!!!!!!
I thought to myself "let have just one more look around here and see what I can find?" (I have been behind this thing for about 10hrs) going mad!!
But look what I found;

You have to go to paypal and edit your profile, I believe its web site payment prefrences and uncheck The encrypted button preferences. You have to generate a different code for this, and its one item one time payment type thing. You need to UN tick this, and use just the standard payment method.
