Thread: Trouble with Russian alphabets

Hey,

I am now forced to do somekind of a homepages and they also need to included some text in Russian. The problem is, that when I try to write something in Russian to the homepages with the Bluevoda editor, the text will appear like this: ?????? ?????? ????? ?? ????.

So, happens there to be a solution for this kind of problem?

To use other languages in BlueVoda besides English, please follow
the below instructions.

1) Right click on the page to launch the page properties editor.
2) Enter the character set of your language in the filed as shown below.
3) Click OK.

Important Note!

BlueVoda Is Not a Unicode Program! Because of this you need to set the appropriate character set also on your computer.

If you have bought your computer f.e. in Greece, it will most probably have installed Greek windows XP. In the computer settings, the Greek character set will be the default set both for the keyboard and for the Non Unicode programs.

If you bought your computer inUSA, it doesn't have Greek (or whatever other languagecharacter set)as the default character set, so you need to set it up, in order to be able to work in Greek with BV.

To do this please follow these steps:

1. Go in your Computer's Control Panel > International Options > Language > Details > Add. Scroll down the language list and select the desired one.

2. Go back again, in International Options> Advanced > in the first paragraph, there is a dropdown list. This is the setting for the default language of Non Unicode Programs. Scroll down and select the desired language. Click "Apply".

You might be asked to reboot your computer for the settings to become active.

Remember! Change the character set to the correct one in Page Properties in BlueVoda, as shown in the image above.

Thank you, now the cyrillics are working, but now I cannot see Scandinavian alphabets!(like ä,ö)

So, is there a way to make the both work on the same time?
