Thread: I am Very New

I don't get it. I try and try and try but nothing I add seems to work.
I tried to add a guestbook, applied the HTML/scripts and then all I get on the published site are the code letters and numbers etc to look at. What am I missing???????
I have been very frustrated with trying to do anything other than add my own content.
Can't figure out the e mail thing. Where is my e mail page for vistors to send e mails?
I 1st tried BlueVoda and then went to Soho and now back to BlueVoda. Each has/had theeir own thing.

You just realized the importance of having a detailed web plan, and then using it to make measurable progress.

As you mention, each utility/technology has it's own challenges as well as capabilities.....the genius is selecting them according to your overall plan and within your ability to use effectively.

Regarding the Guestbook.....try to see the segmented logic of the processes and how they relate as you watch the tutorials (multiple times). By doing this, you might pick up the overall logic, the nature of each smaller process and how they inter-relate......this often is the spark that helps each piece fit into place, and for you to "tell" when a step is missing or has not been completed properly: problem-solving becomes a natural cousin to illuminated logical understanding.

Other than writing a self-answered question with a conclusion above, what was the point then?

not sure what your problems are as you have not sent us the links showing the results. i looked at your site and don't see where you added a guestbook or any other tools. try sending us the link to the pages you are having trouble and perhaps we can help.

I have put a guessbook on my site but when I add the html , save page, then publish, all i see is the html on the page where i put the html block.
I made the guestbook page a special link from the index page. I have removed it for now waithing to figure all this extra stuff i need to know to make the site friendly.
