    Default IE vs. Firefox

    Hi all, help please.
Am working on a new site (www.indehindeh.com) Can you guys look at it please and give me suggestions for tweaking it so that it loads better - the second page especially (home.html)

Main issue: when I open the site in Firefox the lines are not where they should be. Any ideas on how I may remedy this. Thanks for any assistance.

Hi, i think the flash is some of the problem. But optimizing most of your images will save a good 4/500kb.
This one http://www.indehindeh.com/nat_dress.png is at about 250kb & can really be around the 35kb like the one bellow.
This would be the same with your background image http://www.indehindeh.com/indeh_home_back.png which is also around the 200kb & could be arounf 50kb.

Good luck. (Like the style & colors)

Yes, it seems that there is more going on holding this page up than the images, it is taking an extremely long time to open, even after opening and going through a 2nd time too ...

Firefox tends to drop the text down a tad compared to internet explorer, so you will need to tweak between the two to get the best look ...

Ok I will try tweaking the images and hopefully that will help some, because I am planning to add alot more stuff to the site so I wanna sort out all the nuances before the site expands.

LadyEye, what else do you think it may be that is holding up the site (the flash as suggested by collectors-info?)

Really appreciate your replies guys. (and gals :) )

Yes....by using the VodaHost pixresizer (use the VodaHost Support link in my signature to see it listed as a popular download there) you can effectively reduce the file size of your images for optimal viewing and loading.

Personally use MS picture manager for speed & find it a little bit more flexible. But not all machines have this installed. But Pixresizer will do the job, there are some tips on image's & pixresizer in the links bellow.

    Good luck.
