Thread: Publishing additional pages

I have managed to publish my 'index' page successfully and now i want to publish my subpages.

the first is called 'coach'. when i tried to publish this it actually published. the question is - where did it go?

i published it to public_html. my question is what would be the correct web address to find it/use in my navigation bar?

My suggestion is as follows:

1. Do not clutter your index files with other files. It will be neater if

2. U use Folders for group of activities for example

public_html ...open new folder.

Folder 1 name: "policy" [All disclaimers,privacy policy,copyright files etc.]
Folder 2 name: "gallery" [all your photo albums etc]

3. When U publish, publish the relevant pages to their respective folders:

"public_html/policy/" or "public_html/gallery/"[do not enter your file name as it will be auto generated as explained below.]

4. The URL to your pages will be as follows when U search online:

"http://www.yourdomain.com/policy/your_file_name.html" or

"http://www.yourdomain.com/gallery/your_file_name.html"

for clarity then, i go into C panel and open a new folder there? it is probably a simple thing to do...the second time :) could you explan how to open a new folder in c panel for a first timer.

U have to go into your Cpanel at one time or another.

First watch the tutorials over and over then

Click every one of the icons to understand how they function.

The most importand is your File Manager.

about_us[ hi there, am having problem with my pages, i publish my home page, then create one of my pages (about_us) then publish it ,and it says successfully publish, when i type in my Url which is http://www.hipknotique.com and click on about_us page, i get an 404 error, where is my page gone, why have it not link to my home page ?am i publishing the page correctly?

You need to save and name and recall the page by the very same name each time.

In this case you have used about_us and then recalled it in the link as about ... all things need to be identical ...

This is the current address shown online

"http://www.hipknotique.com/about.html"

If U had named your page as about_us.bvp in your
C:\My Document/BlueVoda

After publishing, it should show up on line as "http://www.hipknotique.com/about_us.html"

The " about_us " is missing from your url address.

U can correct from the Cpanel by renaming the page.
