Thread: Unable to Access

Hello,
I'm sure this is a computer issue but....... Today upon trying to open BV I get the message "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"
I have deleted cookies, temp files, cleaned the registry, uninstalled, reinstalled, blah blah blah
Any ideas?

Something got corrupt somehow. Have you tried opening it in safe mode?

Are you using AVAST? for virus scan? I think theres an issue with their heuristics update. Contact them to notify them of the issue and ask them to help you resolve it.

Just for general information:

I removed Avast from my computer and was able to open BV without any problems.

Thanks all. I did have a virus. After removal all is well.
