Thread: Changing fonts for <h1> and <h2> tags

Is there any way to set fonts for <H1> and <H2> tags?

Yes, pretty easy.

Write your text in BV as normal text. Set colour, font and size. Then right click on it, select HTML, and place <h1> in the Before Tag and </h1> in the AFTER Tag.

Please note that h1 tags will make your text appear as Bold, even if you have selected the normal font.

Another question: How many tags can defined as H1 / H2? I mean - is it legal to define more then one? Won't some browsers and/or search engines assume it as invalid?

You can assign as many as you want - however - you'll only completely defeat the purpose of using them. There should, in reality, be ONE h1 tag on a page - and it should be at the top of the page. An h1 is your #1 headline for what this page is about.

You can have a couple h2's if you have various areas on the page of equal importance. But you can also use tags down to h6.

Do NOT overuse the tags, or none of them will have importance. Use them correctly - for a SHORT HEADLINE phrase where appropriate.
