No, you can install a forum (phpbb) with a few clicks using fantastico, via cpanel.

You're no disturbance here, this is what the forum is all about. Your going to want to log in your cPanel and click on Fantastico (little smiley icon) and then find the forum category or phpbb link on the left.

Click the appropriate one that you prefer / or looks best for your site. Install it by putting in your information that it asks for and there you go!

There should be instructions on how to find it later, you can always log in your FTP and find the folder and follow the link.
