Thread: creating a penpal site!

I like to create a penpal site where visitors create their own profile, post instant messages, upload pictures, chat and more. Can I do this or I have to buy a script.

This kind of site requires a lot of coding in php/mysql. I suggest that you buy a script, or it can take months before you can code an esssential site.

I am new to this. Any suggestions what is the best script available. Does it have to be some specific type or any one will do?
