Default Stop certain Ip Addresses

Hello Everyone,

First post, just like to say that this BlueVoda software is class and so is this forum.

The question I have is this one. I have yet to publish, in the progress of putting together my website but what I wanted to ask is that when you do publish on your web servers is it possible to stop a particular person (i.e. lets say you know their IP Address) from viewing your website. I know it's an easy thing to do on forums in the admin panel you can block IP Addresses, but on my website. Is this a request you can ask for from the web hosting company???.

Thanks,
macman

Default Re: Stop certain Ip Addresses

Hi, Yes, there is an IP deny area in c panel that will do this, & also a hot link protection area to stop others linking to parts of your site like images.

Thumbs up Re: Stop certain Ip Addresses

Brilliant Chris,

Up till now completely missed the C Panel tutorials, just going through the standard tutorials. I didn't realise there is a whole control panel available to you when you get your account. Thanks alot for the pearls of wisdom.

Thanks,
macman
