In AWE stats I find that many of my old pages that were redone and deleted are shown as being viewed, how?

The files show no where on any list BV ftp pub...nowhere.

Can anyone explain?

Did you delete the pages from the control panel? If not, and the se's had them indexed, they can still be sending them traffic. If they are deleted, then check your stats for 404 errors - and you'll see those pages are getting them.

I really don't recommend renaming, removing or deleting pages. If the se's are sending traffic to those pages, you'll do harm by doing that. You can always rewrite them - but why rename or remove?

True enough, just wondered since I cannot find them anywhere what the deal is. Could they have been bookmarked and used now? Yeah LE said the same, traffic is traffic. Thanks Beth.

If they are still in your cp - the se's could still send traffic to them - and they can be bookmarked. Obviously if you're getting traffic to them - you should rethink them being deleted :)
