Thread: Where to put Ad Codes

Is there a correct place to put code that needs to get into page html? I've put code into "Inside Body Section" tag & it's worked fine; but I've heard recently that "End of Body" can be better for advertising code as the page will still load ok if the advertising site is down. Are there any set rules?
Incidently my invisible tracking code was partially visible when pasted into "Inside Body section" but is invisible if pasted into "Between Head Tags". Does it make any difference where it is?

It depends on the code - must code you get specifically tells you where to place it.

If it was visible, it means something in the code was either wrong, or it didn't belong where you put it.

What type of advertising code are you trying to insert - for advertising on the page? That would have to go on the page itself.
