I have a server at home so I can check that the website I am building will work properly.

At the moment it is just coming up with GIBBERISH.

How do I fix this or can I?

You have to publish the bv pages before they will work (publishing will convert the bvp document to html or php files).

yeah, I understand that part but I want to make sure it works properly before I pay for hosting. Is that possible?

You do not need a server to check the accuracy or to see how your Blue Voda created pages function "live" if you simply use the PREVIEW function in Blue Voda.

Sounds like there is more to the story than you are letting on ..... and, just a reminder, there is no other way to publish a BV website other than to a VodaHost account: no "conversion" of page formats is successful.
