| Hello all, I'm brand new to the site and just finished watching the tutorials. I have 3 questions. In the Naming pages tut A warning box pops up that says "whenever you point to any site on the internet" 1. What does it mean to "point" your browser. 2. must an index page have a .bvp extension on the end as opposed to .html? 3. when do you use "save as" vs. "save" vs. "save as a template"? regards Steve |

| pointing to your browser means pointing your mouse to the address bar and typing in the website you are looking for. just save your home page as index, don't worry about bvp or html extenisons when you are saving your pages. Blue voda will automatically put the bvp extension once it is saved. the only time you would use or put an html extension is when you are linking one page to the other. the only exception to this is your index page. always use the website name when linking any page to the index page. So the link would look like this: http://www.yoursitename.com when linking from about us page to home page or index page http://www.yoursitename.com/aboutus.html when linking your index page to the about us page. i always use save page as whenever i made an adjustment or change to the page. it will ask you to replace the old page and you say yes. i don't use templates so i will not comment on that. hope this helps, mrmagoo144 www.videopostcards.info |
