Thread: Forms and Downloads

I want to offer an e book to begin building a contact list. I want people to fill out a contact form and when they submit the form they not only send me their contact info, but can actually get their book. Do I need to build another link into the success page that says "download from free e book click here". And do I name the success page
http://www.mysite.com/success.html. The tutorial never meantioned exactly if I had to write that out. I assume I do.

for downloading, just link it to the file ex: C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\[Username]\My%20documents\My%20pictures\[file] for a photo and things like that

That code will try to download from his computer...not the web.

He was correct in his previous post.

If this is a free book you are OK doing it this way. Otherwise, your source code can be read to find the download link.
