Yes this is doable as I have done something similar in the past using PHP.....
but I would suggest that you contact Navaldesign or wadtheflip(2 of our forum members) as I have been out of touch for a while.........

A custom built PHP will cost you......so I think that avenue may be closed to you.

to me this looks like a form that can be built from scratch. when i click the submit button i dont get a calculation but a note stating that a calculation wil be sent to me shortly. if you want to build a form here is where i would go:

with a little work you should be able to produce your own form by following the instructions.

If this form should only send the info, the thing is quite simple (though there are many fields).
If, instead there must be an automated calculation, then things are possible, but require quite some knowkedge. All items must be loaded in a database, with code, description, weight, shipping units, quantity per pallet (volume) and price. The script should calculate the net cost. Next, based on ZIP entered (distance) weight and volume, as well as transport rates (according to volume/weight) the shipping costs should be added.

As you understand, you also need a database interface to manage the above details.

This is not, unfortunately, a low cost script.

I suggest an offline solution, which you can build your self, then send the estimate to the customer.

actually the form its for me i am going to open a online bussines just like that one in the link and the calculation it does have to be automated instantly. its there a way to do this if i cant spend that much money.....

What can I say? such a script requires extensive knowledge of php and mysql, not to mention Javascript if you want to have real time validations (i.e. if the user enters a wrong item nr).
Without such knowledge, i consider it impossible to make such a script.

ok i hope i am making my self clear, what i want is that if a customer puts in to calculate all these things he would get it instantly i think its what you are saying about that its very hard......
