You cant LOSE your public_html directory, but you can delete it by mistake.
Can you give a little more information/explanation please ?

Contact support by putting in a ticket. There is nothing anyone in here can do for you sorry.

Same thing happened to me. After I have published my website my web pages just disappeared and I can't edit them anymore. Is it because I have not been saving them using the topmost toolbar where File Edit View Insert and others are supposed to appear but are not in my version of the website builder?
