Thread: Your advice

Hi All,

I've been given the responsibility to design a website for my company which is a retail megastore. I'm particulary excited because Ive never done a site this large before and Im enthused about it.

Im no pro when it comes to website designs and all so I would really love your ideas on this.

check this out: The company has over 25 departments they want online for customers to view products, request quotes, have accounts, and eventually be able to shop online.

Now from what Ive been doing so far in terms of designing, Im in the 100's as it relates to pages. Im using BV of course.

So heres the question: What are my options in getting this site to be extremely functional?

I just started learning php, asp and xml, know html to an extent but... with all these products going online for display Im wondering whats the best way to get it done.

Im thinking definately a database to store the items in an all but still not sure.

I need some help!
