Question Query on BlueVoda AutoPix Resizing

Hi to all avid readers and diligent forum respondents,

I have just minor concern, since the BlueVoda software has the capability to resize "auto-resize" the photos to be embeded on the webpages, do we still need other available softwares to minimize the file size "kb's" of the actual image?

Also if we resize the pix thru BlueVoda, does it mean that the file size is also reduced? or just the dimensions of the pixs?

Please let me know so that I can able to adopt necessary steps in order for my site to load faster.

Thanks & God Bless to all of you.

    Hi Ooi,

The answer is no. You have to use other software similar to Adobe Photoshop which has export to the web capabilities.

You can also make a search in this forum archives where the same subject
had been dealt with, as if I can remember correctly somebody provided a
link to a Free online site where you can optimize your photos.

Use the "Search" function above on the 2nd toolbar.

You can reduce the resolution without reducing the dimensions with Pix Resizer, free from voda Host: http://www.vodahost.com/pix.htm

To do so, click the 100% button, then click the JPEG button below it. Next to the JPEG button is a bar that reads "Joint Photgraphic Experts Group." Click on that and a small window will open that allows you to reduce the resolution which results in a smaller file.

    Hope that helps.
