Thread: Web Design Issues

Hi
I am new in Bluevoda and I have some problems in publishing my website.

In my computer it appears as I built it, but when others open it the font I choose for my text is not respected and the webpages are also fare to big and doesn't fit in the screen.

Can some one please help me?

Did you use web friendly fonts (fonts that are widely used on all computers) and as far as you page size you need to right click on a blank area of your page and set the page width to about 990 wide ( stay under 1000). save and republish.

you have to decide whether the font is most important to you or Search Engine rules:
You can use any font you wish if you import the page as an image. that way the font will be what ever you used and you don't have to worry about web friendly fonts. the draw back to that is:
search engines do not read images, so all the text you have in that image will not be readable by the search engines. you can put an alt text to describe the image for the search engines, but they(google/yahoo) don't like it.
the choice is yours:
1. a website that you like the looks of
or
2. a website that you want the search engines to like
