Thread: Software Issue

I have tried to load BV on 3 machines @ home #1 this machine Win XP Pro, #2 laptop win98, #3 Desk top win 98. #1 works #2 & #3 . List an error code that a . dll file is missing? Any ideas , my home network isn't up yet.

I would need a specific error and a specific .dll file message. It should work on xp pro.. chances are it may no longer work on win98 as the BV software has been updated to be more compatible with xp and vista

Thanks Karen the XP works great it's the others I'm having problems with. If I remember right it said on trying to run BV there was a missing ?? MFC42.dll file ?? I think. Bill

Correction it's MFC42U.DLL

Could be that .dll file is part of the xp and higher dynamic library set. It may or may not work even if you downloaded it and added it to windows sys files.

Thats a visual basic runtime .dll.. so your version may not work or may not be able to be updated to be compatible but you can try.

Edit: either way.. just do a search for it at the above link.. should still be a visual basic or framework files.
