Thread: Question about subdomain

Hi folks
I created a addon domain called www.okcheckit.com. I also create a subdomain called travelguide. So I created a folder within my okcheckit folder called travelguide. I uploaded my info into the travelguide folder thru the cpanel.
So now it should read www.okcheckit.com/travelguide.html. Did I do this correct, also my okckeckit site is working but not the subsite travelguide. Maybe it just takes longer for it to make it through the internet. So is this the correct way to do it.

No.. you created a domain named okcheckit. You then created a FOLDER named travelguide. Your link would be
www.okcheckit.com/travelguide/travelguide.html

If you created a subdomain in the cpanel .. then it would be
www.travelguide.okcheckit.com/travelguide.html

I did create a subdomain off of okclickit in cpanel. I dont understand how do i create this url, okclickit.com/travelguide.html, thru cpanel.

Anymore help would be appreciated to the above question. Thanks

if your using blue voda, then your main page is just saved as index, as such if you want the /travelguide.html page you would just make that page and save it as travelguide

Sub-domains usually will take 72 hours and above to propagate on the web.

The sub-domain should be created from your cPanel.

The url will be www.subdomain.okchekit.com/

What you have given above is the address to the folder which you created in cPanel.

I gave you the url

When you publish you publish too

public_html/okclickit/travelguide/

the url will be

travelguide.okclickit.com/whateverpage.html

Do we have a limit on how many subdomains we can create?

VodaHost allows your unlimited subdomains (as well as addon domains, bandwidth, disk space, databases, emails, etc)
