problem changing logo header on forum

Hey guys i have designed a new logo for my forum but there is one problem i am having trouble uploading it to replace the current logo.

Here is the current phpbb3 logo

I have a logo that is transparent and i have tried to upload it but i'm guessing when i uploaded its possible that i might be hiding behind the current forum logo. I want it to look like this:



So how to to bring it to the front, i have very little html skills so hoping some here can help me out.
