Thread: published site

Hello; I have just started a new site http://www.stomachdisorders.info and have finally got the setup right for publishing and have names the pages right, WHEN i go to the above address i just get the index thing. SO, I cant figure out how or where to see my live site to see how it looks on the web.

Your first page (main page) should be saved/ published as index . All lower case.

The first page as i have checked it is in lower case and called index. Is this why i cant see it live?

you need to publish to

public_html/

you must type that in the box that pops up when you publish.. if it doesnt, select your site in the list and edit it.

OKKaren thanks for the help. Will let you know if it works.

i did all that and it connected successfully to the server but the publish failed. I published to the remote server and /public.html folder under my website name.
oh, by the way, i probably started this wrong, i started my site without a template and i picked one now, The question is how do i get my pages on the template.

You need to do the tutorials Louise...this is NO different than SOL. YOu are also on the wrong forum for this builder.

I know for a fact that this has been explained to you numerous times. You will have to manually ADD the content to the template.

OK i am not going to get into anything like that here, but i dont think it was explained that many times. I realize this is the wrong forum its a bit of a mixup between the voda forum and the wysiwyg forum.
I did try the the other forum but for some reason when i tried to join that one it wanted a fax sent to it for some reason. NOW, i don't expect you to know the why and wherefores for that i am only saying that that is what happened when i tried to join the wysiwyg forum.

lol HOW did you know this was me?

Its not that difficult to put two and two together.. and the website, and you posted here last year.

thats impossible, I JUST started here this year/this month. You MUST be thinking of someone else.
Anyway, my site is live but dont look at it it it is in beginning stages. I am going over downloading templates now.

Well it was very short and i dont remember that, it was closed very early, i didn't move the site it stayed where it is and just started the new one this month.
i have hooked up with the right forum now so i may not be here for a while anyway.

LOL ...
