Thread: Blue voda shopping cart & SQL capacities

Hi!

I am quite familiar with BlueVoda.
But, I am now building a site with simple ecommerce features (to allow registration and payment for an event) and I would like to use BlueVoda rather than Soholaunch. I am not sure if it is possible.

I think there is no problem for registration form and payment (I plan to use the Paypal features).
However, I also need the following:
-automatic SQL gathering of registration info
-automatic confirmation email to registered

Can I do this with Blue Voda?
Can you direct me to a tutorial?

You can only do all this with blue voda with custom scripting of some sort or using an addon script. Even with paypal features some things wont be free using for instance MALS ecart.

You recommend using Soholaunch or other web site builder then?
No easy way out of this?

Yes... a regular cart or a customed cart. One way or the other you wont be able to just zap it up in bv. Its not made for that.
