Thread: View Source - Perplexed

Not sure what category this issue belongs to.

My site has dropped from a 4 to a 3 in google rankings. I think it is because of something that is happening and I can not figure out what the cause is.

When I go to http://www.twelvebeads.com and right click to view source I find at the bottom a TON of urls and have no idea how they are getting there. They are only viewable when I "view source."

The only thing I have hidden in the Page HTML Between Head Tag is the code for my favicon.

Could it be StumbleUpon or BOOKMARK? I do have a link to the Top 20 Stores but have had that up for a long time and the issue only started happening recently so I think that is OK.

I would love to have this issue resolved. It is a bit unsettling.

You have had an Add attack, type in the letters below for a google search. Would also be worth asking VH for some advice.

Wow, is this a hack job?

They said the permissions are correct. That is not going to help me get this crud off of my index page. I am trying to see how others have addressed this issue but so far no luck.

Open to suggestions.

You cant remain on top all the time without making constant improvements to your site.

There are millions of jewelery stores vying for the top spot.
improve your page title, improve and add additional tag lines for the browser to search for.

Improve your back links. Improve your reciprocal links.

To be King of the Hill you need constant improvement to your site and product lines.

My brother was able to find the little bugger and remove it from my files. I hope no one else has to deal with this.

I no longer have a ton of links when I "view source" ~ they were really well hidden in my files. Not sure how they got in just glad they are gone.
